Straight-Line Cooler
The straight line cooler is the main equipment of sintering system in steel mill. It is usually located at the back of sintering machine and crusher and used for cooling the sinters. The straight line cooler can not only cover small area, distribute materials evenly, but also cause less broken sinters,bring good cooling effect,and have the functions of driving and lifting.
Straight line cooler can be divided into blast straight line cooler and suction straight line cooler according to ventilation mode. Straight line cooler is mainly comprised of chain, trolley, driving devices, tension devices, sealing devices and exhaust fan.
The average temperature of the sinters that discharged from the sintering machine is as high as about **0 ℃. It will reduce service life of conveying devices, blast furnace bunkers, weighing cars and furnace top equipment, and deteriorate the working environment if such sinters are directly put into the blast furnace. Whereas if using cold sinters, it can not only overcome the above-mentioned shortcomings, but also reduce coke ratio of the blast furnace and improve the utilization of the system. Therefore straight line cooler can be widely used in sintering plants.
