The chemical formula of STARCOLIC™ Suture is (C2H2O2)n. Clinical trials have shown that after two weeks, approximately *4% of STARCOLIC™ Suture initial strength remained. At four weeks, approximately *3% of STARCOLIC™ RAPID Suture linear tensile strength remained. STARCOLIC™ - Polyglycolic Acid Suture (PGA) has been found to be inert, nonantigenic, nonpyrogenic and elicit only mild tissue reactivity during the absorption process. The absorption time for Polyglycolic Acid (PGA) is *0 to *0 days. STARCOLIC™ - Polyglycolic Acid Sutures (PGA) are available violet and undyed.
