INTRODUCTION Smoke Density Chamber has been established for many years and is used widely in all industrial sectors for the determination of smoke generated by solid materials and assemblies mounted in the vertical position within a closed chamber.​
  FEATURE

• Powder coated liner removable for repair/replacement. Powder coated exterior.
• Large tempered double glazed door for easy viewing and cleaning.
• PID temperature controller for constant furnace setting.
• Coil type tubular radiant heater with integrated thermocouple. Master electrical shut-off switch with maintenance lockout. Pneumatic actuated test sample transport system for repeatability of tests.
• Electronic ignition system.
• Calibrated flowmeters Propane and air flow measurement. Master gas on/off control with safety latching circuit to prevent gas flow following power interruption.
• 2 removable 6 flame pilot burners for normal test and wire test. 4 ports on roof of chamber for toxicity analysis.
• 3 stainless steel sample holders complete with backer board, spring and spring pin.
• 1 blank sample for wall protection. Wire sample holder
• Calibration system including 1 water cooled heat flux gauge (**5 W/cm2), holder and integral cooling system.
• 3 optical filters for linearity calibration.
• Furnace location and pilot burner location tools. Pilot burner cleaning tool.
• Customized data acquisition software and hardware for calibration and testing with USB interface for connection to external computer (administration rights required for computer)
• Data stored in csv format for easy exporting to spreadsheet programs.
