SBS modified bitumen waterproof membrane is saturating the membrane carrier with modified bitumen, styrene butadiene-SBS, reinforced with polyester or fiberglass, covered with sand, mineral slate or granules or polythene membrane on the top.

Product Features

Great waterproofing function, impermeable and reliable.
High extension, adaptable to shrink and cracking deformation basements.
Low temperature stability, suitable for hot or cold regions, especially great for severely cold areas.
3 to 5 mm thickness membrane carries performance of anti-puncture and tearing-resistance.
Corrosion and mould resistance, tolerable to season changes.
Easy application, hot-melt application method never affected by the weather.

Product classification

Based on the carrier, there are Polyster (PY), Glass fiber(G) and Glass fiber reinforced with Polyster (PYG).
Based on the surface isolated material, there are Polyethylene membranes (PE), Sand (S), Mineral granules (M)
Based on bottom isolated material, there are Sand covered (S), Polyethylene film (PE)
Based on the chemical and physical properties, there are type I and type II.

Considerations

Elastomeric SBS mainly used in roof and underground waterproofing engineers both on civil and industrial architecture.
SBS-G is used as bottom waterproofing layer in the multi-layer waterproofing.
Exposed waterproof need to choose mineral granules cover membrane.
Underground waterproofing system need to choose sand cover membrane.
When constructed with liquid membrane, SBS should lie on the upper layer.

Install Process

Clean the surface.

Hot wind method applied to melt the bottom of the membrane equally.

Unfold and apply the rolls, pay attention to the width of the joint.
