Such Clearance always helps in minimizing the burs and in turn increases the life of the knife used as a slitter tool. This increases the slit width tolerance and also reduces the stress on the machine.
The slitters knives manufactured by FUPONT have a high quality slit edge and its slitting / cutting life can be further increased by taking appropriate care with which setting between knives is made. We suggest to use the optimum Knife setting for all slitter knives.
