This forest honey has its origin in the lower lands of Beira Region and it’s harvested in areas of great Rosemary predominance. With a light tone, it has an accentuated sweet aroma and flavour due to its high concentration of fructose which makes it recommended in free of sugar (sucrose) diets as a natural sweetener.

Several studies highlight the qualities of Rosemary as an anticancer agent as well as a preventative against degenerative diseases.

Honey is an important complement to a healthy human diet, not only for its high energy value, but also for it's richness in nutrients that are so beneficial to the balance of our bodies, such as vitamins, minerals, enzymes and amino acids. In its composition we find Sugars of the monosaccharide type, *8% to *0%, Glucose (*1%), Fructose (*8%), Maltose (7%), as well as other complex sugars. Colour, flavour and consistency typical of the product. All types of honey present slight variations in their appearance and composition according to the location where the honey was harvested. Slight differences may be found even between different harvests. These variations are determined by the influence of other flowering present in its composition, soil type, climate and even handling the beekeeper (more details in product description).
