Dunite is a deep-seated erupted rock which passed through unique natural melting treatment.

Dunite has been used in banya and sauna stone furnaces since ancient times. Samples of this rock have passed fitness tests for being used in banyas and saunas made by the Mineralogy Institute of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. They won a high appraisal.

Due to its high refractoriness dunite is used as a fireproof material in metallurgical furnaces at the temperatures of ***0 °C****0 °C. It guarantees dunites long life in your stone furnace as even in the hottest steam room the temperature is much lower.

Low linear expansion coefficient shows that the stones will not crack when being heated and cooled many times.

Dunite has unique thermal capacity and high heat conductivity at the same time that means it is able to concentrate and give heat back quickly.

Dunite does not contain toxic elements and admixtures and has a sanitary and epidemiological certificate on radiation safety.
