Palm oil is derived from the African oil palm fruit (Elaeis guineensis),are small ovoid-oblong fruits,that grows in clusters of several hundreds close to the trunk on short heavy stalks.The fruit is fibrous and oily and surrounded with a white kernal also rich in oil.Oil from the kernel is difficult to describe,but smoky,distinct and strong in both flavour and aroma.
The fruit has two distinct oils,Palm oil derived from the outer part of the fruit and palm kernel oil derived from the kernel from the inner part of ths fruit.
Palm oil contains approximately *0% saturated fatty acid,with *4%palmitic acid (c*6.0).It decreases cholesterol levels,reducing oxidation stress,boosting brain health,slowing the progression of heart disease,increasing vitamin A  status and improving skin and hair health
