Liquid jet injectors are available since long but never has been documented a better PK profile compared to needle injections.
Anecdotal data suggest more rapid glucose lowering effect of insulin if injected by jet injection thanks to the dispersion of tissue instead of putting a drip in the subcutaneous tissue.
Small studies suggest a more rapid increase of insulin levels with jet injection
Pharmacokinetics and – dynamics of rapid acting insulin analogues have not been tested with jet injection.
