Cowhide in 2.5 ounce (1.4mm) thickness is the primary ingredient in all SKATING SUIT suits, custom and ready to wear. All leather is drum dyed for the richest and most durable colors.
The suits use a single ply leather in most areas with the exception of parts that are prone to contact the ground. The knees, elbows, shoulders, hips and butt all have a second layer of leather for added durability and abrasion protection.
 
Kevlar- Genuine Schoeller Keprotec is used throughout all our products for excellent flexibility, abrasion protection and lightweight breathable panels. These panels are in the crotch, behind the knees and running from the armpit to the wrist. Dont be fooled by manufacturers using imitation Kevlar. If its not Schoeller Keprotec, it is not a true Kevlar product. Pads- We use medium density closed cell foam in 3/8 thickness in the knees, elbows and back. These pads are pliable and protective while still allowing maximum flexibility and aerodynamics.
 
Lining- All SKATING SUIT suits are lined with a nylon and polyester mesh which wicks sweat and acts as a buffer between your skin and the porous back of the leather.
 
Zippers- All our zippers are genuine YKK brass zippers with locking, non-slip slides. These slides will not unzip by themselves which allows us to not need a restraint snap or Velcro on our zippers. If the zipper tab is down, it is not moving.
 
Fleece- The collar of all our suits utilizes non pill Polar Fleece. It is soft and cool in the heat
And insulates nicely when its cold.
