Marsh-mallow (botanical origin - Althaea officinalis L.) is one
of the few plants that belong to the group of absolutely safe. It
does not cause side effects. The extract is used in the
pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industries. The root (radix) is
used for the production of dry extract. Marsh-mallow extract is a
greyish-yellow powder. It is almost odorless with a peculiar
sweet taste. The extract is used for inflammation of the
respiratory tract and pharynx, difficult coughing up sputum,
tonsillitis, tracheitis, stomatitis, gingivitis, gastritis,
gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer, eczema, cystic dermatosis,
psoriasis, burns, seborrheic dermatitis of the face, inflammatory
and conglobate acne, etc.

Chemical composition

sugar (up to 8 %), starch (up to *7%), about 1% of pectin
substances. It also contains fatty oil, organic acids, tannins,

are packed into double bags and stored into five-layer carton
boxes.
