Physical Properties:
Colorless or slight yellow vicidity liquid. Easily be hydrolyzed to methanol and sodium hydroxide at the presence of moisture or water. Decomposes in air above 126 °C. Soluble in methanol and ethanol. Insoluble in benzene and toluene.
 

Usage: Used in the synthesis of medicine and pesticide also applied in chemicals, dye, chemical fiber and food.Mainly used in the production of vitamin A1, B1, sulphadoxine, sulfadiazine, trimethoprim and other pharmaceutical industry. It can also be used in bio-diesel industry. Besides, it can be used as edible.
 
It provides many advantages as Sodium Methylate catalyzer for transesterification reaction. It is a hard process to purify biodiesel created by the completion of biodiesel process.
