Currently the most popular are **0BASE-TX (fast Ethernet) and ***0BASE-T (gigabit Ethernet), running at **0 Mbit/s and ***0 Mbit/s (1 Gbit/s), using CAT5 / CAT5e cables.  For *0GBASE-T networks, CAT6 (**0 MHz bandwidth) or CAT6a (**0 MHz bandwidth) cables are required.
