Hydroxypropyl gamma cyclodextrin solubilizes large molecules, such as cholesterol, for use in cell cultures. Hydroxypropyl gamma cyclodextrin is similar to beta cyclodextrin but can dissolve larger molecules.
 
The water solubility of the hydroxypropyl-γ-cyclodextrin product after hydroxypropylation is further increased to *0g/**0ml (*5°C).
