Gas-fired Infrared Drying Line for Leather-processing
1. Applications
This line is for leather coating and also similar products drying. We can design for you special requirements.

2. Characteristic
Currently for leather drying, most processes adopt electricity heating system, our lines adopt gas-fired infrared heating system, which can greatly reduce not only the energy cost but also the drying shrinkage of leather.

3. Specifications
The leather drying line consists of **5 heating units. The size of each unit is ***0mm (L) &***0mm (W). The line is ***0m length totally, ***0mm width.
Each line (**5 units) has one blower to provide air for combustion to all burners.

4. System Components
A. Metal fiber burner
Each unit has two rows of burner, 2 burners per row, maximum capacity is *2kw, maximum gas consumption is 4m3/h.
High radiation efficiency: Heat is transferred to the leather by radiation rapidly and easily.
Homogeneous combustion: The combustion is homogeneous along the width, ensure drying leather evenly.
Good flashback resistance: Special structure for full-premixed burner avoids flame flash-back.
Low thermal inertia: Burner surface temperature can drop down to room temperature in several seconds while the system stopping, which makes it can effectively prevent fire accidents caused by power break.

B. Furnace
Adopt built-up structure, easy to assemble and maintenance.
Multi-angle stainless reflector: Reflect infrared ray back to the leather surface.
Covered by heat insulator: Low thermal conductivity, low temperature on outside surface and low thermal loss.

C. Control system
The core of the control system is PLC and touch screen, the whole system is controlled by PLC, related parameters are set and displayed on the touch screen.
System functions: Pre-purge, automatic ignition, flame detection, protection and alarm for flame failure, low pressure protection for gas and air.
PID heat adjustment mode: The capacity of the burner is adjusted by PLC automatically.
Photoelectric detection system: If the leather is not detected by the system, the heat load will be adjusted to low level even cut off automatically.
Exhaust system: Accuracy control air exhaust according to the humidity detection.

D. Gas Supply System
Adopt gas filter and regulator system
Air-gas-ratio: Automatically control the gas supply according to the air supply.

E. Air Supply and Filter System
The air must be filtered before supplying to the burner to avoid blockage of the pipe or burners.
With variable frequency control technology, fan speed is changed to control the air flow and thermal load.

F. Exhaust System
Precise control of exhaust volume according to the humidity
Adopt frequency conversion technology to change the fan speed, so as to change the exhaust volume.

5. Safety System
A. Pre-purge function: Clean the furnace inside before start the system, to prevent the accident caused by gas.
B. Interlock the combustion system with the exhaust fan, while the exhaust fan is in failure, the system will be automatically locked and stopping to avoid accident.
C. Each heating unit has a gas sensor; The detected signals are transfered to PLC. When the gas concentration in the chamber reaches *5% of the explosion limits, heating system will be automatically locked.

6. Economic Evaluation
A. Thermal loading for each heating unit is *0kw, using electricity, the price is 0.*6 RMB/kwh, the energy cost is *2.8 RMB/h; Using Natural Gas, gas price is 3.7 RMB/ m3, the energy cost is *1.1 RMB/h, the decrease of energy cost is *1.7 RMB/h ( Over *0%)
B. Compared with electric heating system, our Gas heating system can reduce the leather shrinkage rate by ***0%, thus each piece of leather can increase the income of 0.**1 RMB, if one production line daily processing ***0 pieces, the increase is 1, **0 *- 3, **0 RMB per day.
