As overhead ground (or static) wire for protection against lighting
1 x 7 construction strand with grade A galvanization and with group one tensile strength is mostly used for this application
Strand is installed at the top of steel tower and functions as a ground (earth) wire to protect the aluminum conductor with steel reinforced (ACSR) from lightening
With its normal lifespan of *0 to *0 years, thick galvanized layer better than or equivalent to that of galvanized strand for ACSR is recommended
