 Why You Need Floor Underlayment (Laminate Underlayment) :
 
Unlike solid hardwood or even engineered wood flooring, laminate flooring is very thin and "unsolid" all by itself. So, you need to provide some extra cushioning and sound absorption properties to your laminate.
 
Without laminate underlayment, your new floor would be hard on your feet; noisy; and would show sub-floor imperfections on the finish surface of your new floor.

 Purposes of Laminate Underlayment:
