2) Appearance: Colorless and transparent viscous liquid
3) Introduction: Used for organic synthesis of alkaline
condensation agent and catalyst, used in vitamin B1, A and SD of
raw materials, and is an important raw material of sulphaguanidine,
sulfamethoxazole, trimethoprim, drug synthesis.
Sodium methoxide is colourless or yellowish viscous liquid. sodium methoxide price is sensitive to oxygen. It is soluble in methanol and ethanol, and can decompose into methanol and sodium hydroxide with water. It decomposes at 126.6℃ in the air.
Stability: Highly flammable. Reacts violently with water. Keep container dry. Incompatible with water, acids, chlorinated solvents.
Sodium Methylate / Methoxide used in wide range of applications in organic synthesis; Agrochemicals; Pharmaceuticals, colorants and aroma chemicals. It is used in manufacturing detergents and biodiesel. It also act as catalysts in polymerization and isomerizations.
