DC***5 is water based Fire Retardant/Resistant Coating mainly consisting thermoplastic resin and organic - inorganic FR additives. DC***5 is non toxic and Halogen Free. As the product itself is non-flammable, its application and handling is harmless to human as well to environment. DC***5 is recommended to apply on wood, plastics - PVC, card boards’ surfaces and other combustible surfaces. Product stops fire spread along the coated area and protect the surface. DC***5 is a water based type coating, which makes the surface fire resistant for a considerable time and does not release any toxic gases at the time of fire. Also it retards the progress of fire on surface. TESTED ACCORDING TO IEEE***3, IS*****0 PART [*3] FOR FLAME SPREAD. Contribution of FR coatings to Fire Prevention is to minimize fire hazards [Saving of lives as well infrastructure] Combustible materials like wood, plastics - PVC, particleboards, and others initiate and propagate fire because being organic compounds they decompose to volatile combustible products when exposed to heat or fire. Combustible materials have greatly increased the FIRE RISK the FIRE HAZARD that is respectively the probability of fire occurrence and its consequences either on human or on structures. One of the solution to minimize the FIRE RISK & FIRE HAZARDS and consequences there of, is to apply Fire Retardant/Resistant Coat (paint ) on the combustible surfaces like wood, particle boards, electrical installations [Electrical Cables] in building/structure. DC***5 is water based Fire Retardant Coating and is a blend of Inorganic-Organic compounds with specially developed FR Additives. Dry coating when exposed to heat or flame, creates non combustible charred barrier which provides the protection against flame penetration and also does not allow surface to reach at its temperature of combustion.
