Glucono delta-lactone (GDL) E**5  is a lactone (cyclic ester) of D-gluconic acid. 

Physical and Chemical characteristics:

Pure GDL is a white odorless crystalline powder.

Glucono Delta-Lactone is soluble in water. 

Application: 

As a good multi-functional food additive, it is mainly used for protein coagulant, acidic agent, bulk agent, preservative, flavoring agent, adhesive etc. Glucono Delta-Lactone is widely used in food, daily-use chemicals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, metal cleaning, organic synthesis, and so on. Being innocuous and harmless to human, it is an excellent stabilizer, coagulant, sour agent and chelating agent. 

Storage and Transport: 

1. This product should be stored in a dry, ventilated and clean environment.

2. In the course of transport, the product can be transported as ordinary chemical. Belonging to non-dangerous goods, its exposure to sunlight and rain should be prevented.
