Misconception 3: Aluminum radiators never corrdes
No matter cast aluminum radiators, or die-casting aluminum radiators or new design aluminum radiators, there is possibility of leakage, different material corrodes because of different reason. Aluminum is good at oxidization resistance but bad at caustic and cholridion resistance. So the aluminum radiators are not safe when the water is alkali(PH HIGHER THAN 7), or rich in chlordion(rich salt).
