-EPP(Expanded Polypropylene) can be found, where it would not be suspected at all at first glance: such as in football/soccer stadiums, golf course, baseball field, tennis court and other sports field. Beneath the green turf fibers are several hundred slabs/plates which are made from EPP foam. Expanded Polypropylene represents a perfect basis for artificial turf. The EPP ground plates excel not only in their cushioning effect, they are ultra lightweight as well and can be transported everywhere low-cost and eco-friendly.
-EPP is a PP specialty foam with very good impact absorption, lightweight and high temperature resistance. It combines high energy absorption, even after several impacts, with excellent resilience and isotropic deformation performance. These properties, which also include low water absorption and good resistance to chemicals, open up a broad range of applications: from vehicle construction, packaging and transport containers to sports and leisure applications.
-EPP is **0% recyclable. It is manufactured and processed without any CFCs(Chlorofluorocarbons). The EPP sheet sub-layer basis can easily be cleaned or disinfected, it does not absorb water and is resistant to oils and chemicals.
-The EPP ground plates can also be assembled like tesseras without problems. In no time, a large basis for artificial turf is arising. The EPP foam plates underlay also minimizes the strains on players' muscles and joints: it has been approved that the predominantly closed-cell, air-filled particles have a cushion factor of 2.6 to 2.8 based on test method ISO ****- this is deemed to be gentle on the joints in human body.
