Environmental test chamber
The test site for environmental tests should be broadly representative, capable of carrying out as many test items as possible, and should be as close as possible to the environment in which future operations may take place. However, the environmental test site is often different from the real use environment.

In the selection of simulation test items, we should specifically analyze the requirements for the use of test items, so that the selected test items not only represent the main use environment, but also speed up the test and save money. Environmental test sites and laboratories, environmental test standards have been formulated. All weapons and equipment, components and materials, as well as ammunition, are required to be sent first to environmental laboratories for simulated environmental tests and then to environmental testing sites for field environmental tests, which can only be formally delivered to troops after passing these tests. Environmental testing is a part of the testing and identification work.

At present, foreign countries have standardized environmental tests, many countries have also developed environmental test standards, in general, these standards are much the same, mainly including the following environmental test projects:

(1) Low pressure (high altitude) test: The test is suitable for weapons airlifted in the cargo hold of the aircraft, weapons used on the plateau and air weapons in the situation of rapid pressure drop after the aircraft is injured. The purpose of the test is to test the performance of the weapon in low pressure environment and the effect of rapid pressure drop on the performance of the weapon. (2) High temperature test: the weapon in the test is in high temperature air, but is not directly exposed to sunlight. The test is aimed at storing or using weapons indoors or in a confined space or near a heat source such as an engine during the high temperature season. The purpose of the test is to test the performance of storage or use in a high temperature environment.

(3) Low temperature test: The test is suitable for specimens that are likely to be used in low temperature environments during the life cycle. The purpose of the test is to test whether the specimen can be stored, controlled and operated in a long-term low temperature environment.
