Strong abilities to resist corruption. In the corrosion test, corrosion of this  is only 1/*0 of the steel tube, and  1/*0 of the grey iron pipe. Useful life is 2 times of grey iron pipe , and 5 times of ordinary steel pipe.
Good plasticity. Elongation of this is 7% or higher, same as  the high carbon steel material, and grey iron material’s elongation is zero.

• High strength.tensile strength is the same as the low carbon steel material,  three times of gray iron material.

• Because of the microstructure, nodular cast iron is better than cast steel in weakening vibration ability.

• One important reason of choosing ductile iron is its lower cost. Nodular cast iron’s lower cost makes this kind of material more popular,  more efficient, less machining cost.
