The delicious Turkish sun dried tomatoes are produced at the coasts
of Aegean Region mainly in Izmir and Manisa cities. Currently,
Turkey is covering the *0% of the total world production solely.
Both its fresh and dried forms have been receiving high demands for
many years throughout world markets.
The importance of sun dried tomatoes are expanding in todays
cuisine. Turkish sun dried tomatoes are produced from Roma variety
sound, fresh, ripe tomatoes. The tomatoes are dried in the sun to
develop their full, rich flavor, characteristics and are now
recognized as a basic ingredient for a multitude of applications,
including baking, condiments, salads and salad dressings and
preparation of entrees and appetizers.
The sun dried tomatoes are double washed and triple hand picked by
the experienced staff under the latest modern food processing
technology. After the process at the production lines, the products
are metal detected and packed for the shipment. The usual packing
of sun dried tomatoes is 2×5 kg vacuum packs. This packing can be
changed such as 4×2,5 kg, *0×1 kg or as per buyers
requirements.
We always provide the highest quality sun dried tomato products to
our customers according to their requests. Both salted and sulfured
sun-dried tomatoes are made from fresh tomatoes harvested at the
peak of their ripeness. The tomatoes are then dried under the
Aegean sun, supervised continuously by our experienced quality
control team. They are processed with a special dipping system that
gives uniformity and consistency in quality. This highly controlled
method of production ensures the finest quality sun dried tomatoes
available.
Regular Dry: with moisture level of ****3% and
**8% salt
The fresh tomatoes need a drying process which takes between **7
days with salt and then washed, cleaned and selected to maximize
quality and full flavor.
Ready to Eat (RTE): with moisture level of ****0%,
and **6% salt
Regular dried tomatoes are taken into a new process to be ready
into different applications in the kitchen. These tomatoes are
mainly used in restaurants, hotels etc. and there is no need to
cook. They are served with salads, pizzas, pastas (with sauce) or
can be a sub-product for a specific industrial process.
Different shapes as in halves, julienne cut, diced by *0×*0 mm or
in any other forms as required.
Packaging: in bulk *0 kg boxes or 1 / 2 / 2,5 / 5 kg vacuum bags or
in retail bags of your specification. Private label options are
available.
