Main applications:
1 Aerosol spray propellant: DME have long been used as
a propellant gas in aerosols, such as polyurethane foam sealant,
aerosol pesticide, paint, air fresher ,a blowing agent ect.
2 Refrigerant: DME is also gaining popularity as a
refrigerant, as a substitute for CFCs. Do no damage to the ozone
layer.
3 Fuel:
substitute for LPG, used for domestic cooking and heating
(domestic fuel market). advantages: lower price than LPG ;no
residual liquid ,full combustion; no black smock ,environmentally
friendly; the safety of the storage and transportation is better
than LPG’S.
DME is a promising fuel in diesel engines: a
cetaneâ…¢ emission standards laid down by
EU. rating as high as ****7,lower engine noise ,lower price,
smokeless combustion, all emission indexes are considerably lower
than EU
4 Chemical feedstock:dme is an important organic
chemicals and chemical intermediate, DME is a low-temperature
solvent and extraction agent.
5 DME can be also used as a fuel for welding cutting and
brazing
