Slag Deoxidant in powder form for Ladle Furnace metallurgy
During tapping of liquid steel from the main Electric Furnace EAF to the ladle it is very important to avoid as much as possible contamination with oxidative slag from EAF that usually contains FeO > ****5%. The final slag formed in the Ladle during ladle Furnace metallurgy may contain FeO around ***0 %. Such an oxidised slag prevents the fast and efficient desulphurisation of the melt. The slag Deoxidant DEOXALcontains metallic Aluminium that deoxidises the slag reacting with FeO and MnO,while the presence of MgO in the product composition enhances refractory lining protection.
