DeLonghi EC155 Espresso Machine

The DeLonghi EC**5 is the most affordable pump-driven semi-automatic espresso machine we offer. This little powerhouse packs *5 bars of pump pressure, so getting a good extraction is simple and fast. Delonghis patented Sempre Crema Filter helps ensure youll get a layer of rich crema on your shots, and the EC**5 also comes with a filter basket designed for use with ESE (Easy Serve Espresso) pods to make brewing even simpler.

A dial on the front of the machine controls all of the functions on the DeLonghi EC**5, from brewing to steaming to hot water. For making cappuccinos, lattes, and other espresso-based milk drinks, the EC**5 features a steam wand with an attachment that makes steaming and frothing milk a breeze. Maintenance is also easy, thanks to a removable *5 oz water reservoir, drip tray, and straightforward cleaning cycles.

Versatile Portafilter

The DeLonghi EC**5 lets you create delicious espresso 2 different ways. You can use the Sempre Crema Filter to brew using your favorite ground coffee beans, and depend on a smooth layer of crema every time you brew. The EC**5 also comes with a special filter basket for use with ESE pods for added convenience—no grinding, dosing, or tamping needed.

A dependable pump means consistent, well-extracted espresso shots and lots of steam. The DeLonghi EC**5 features a powerful *5 bar pump to create a consistent extraction every time. Its also self-priming—a rare feature for a machine at this price point. This feature means you dont have to worry about complicated set-up when you first get the machine or after a long period without being used.

Straightforward Controls

A dial on the front of the machine controls the EC**5 and it features 5 different settings. From left to right, they are steam, power off, power on, coffee/hot water dispensing. Indicator lights are also located around this center dial and will illuminate when the machine is on and when the machine is at proper brewing or steaming temperature.

Stainless Steel Boiler

Great heat stability and durability are the major qualities of a stainless steel boiler. They are less vulnerable to pitting and damage from scale build-up. Not only does the EC**5 have a stainless steel boiler, it also has 2 separate thermostats so that the proper temperature is always reached for brewing or steaming.

Easy Frothing

If you love cappuccinos, latte, and other caf-style drinks, youre in luck. The DeLonghi EC**5 has a special frothing attachment that helps you steam and froth milk with ease, so you can create almost anything youd find at your local coffee shop. To steam, turn the knob to the steam icon and wait for the temperature ready light to illuminate (next to the word OK on the control panel). Once illuminated, the EC**5 is ready to steam. Just immerse the tip of the steam wand in a pitcher of cold milk, turn the steam knob located on the top of the machine, and froth away. Make sure to clean the wand after every use, once it has cooled down.

Hot Water

If you want to enjoy a cup of tea, hot chocolate, or a bowl of delicious instant soup, the EC**5 can dispense hot water right from the steam wand. Just turn the control knob to the coffee/hot water dispensing icon at the same time as you turn the steam knob. When the desired amount of hot water is reached, just turn the steam knob to stop the flow of water.

Large Water Reservoir

The DeLonghi EC**5s *5oz water reservoir is located on the back left side of the machine. With such a large capacity, you can make multiple espresso shots and steam without having to refill. Plus, its removable, so cleaning and refilling is a snap.

Removable Drip Tray

No one wants espresso to drip on their countertop. The EC**5 has a removable drip tray, so you can clean up after a day of brewing, or entertaining guests. Just remove and rinse with warm water and non-abrasive detergent to clean.
