Painter of a dual nationality, Cynthia Coulombe Bgin was born in Miami in ***4 and grew up in Qubec. In ***6, she graduated from university with a degree in arts.

Inspired by organic forms and by the experience of mankind, Cynthia’s creative approach is a study of the body fragments in relation with the energy of the moment. Abstract or integrated in transparency in bodily forms, she expresses all the energy that she feels by using several color squirts.

‘My creative process involves the metamorphic interpretation of our inner identity against our projected image. I am inspired by the fragmented body envelope, I mark a spontaneous gesture of vibrant colors. The experience of painting brings me to look differently at self-discovery, to the astonishment. A movement from outside to inside emerges, the feeling of an invisible quest for energy, a marriage of body and mind. The concept of the show, the search for identity, the body exposed in an explosive world reflects my desire to stage the beauty and vulnerability of our existence in the same image. I think my painting as a staging. I explore the limits of the representation of the body and I give it a soul with color, shine and texture. '
