The cylindrical roller bearings are separable bearing. The roller contact raceway with line-contact. Therefore, the radial load carrying capacity is higher and applies to heavy load, impact load or high rotating speed circumstance. This bearing is easy to be installed and disassembled, especially when the inner ring and outer ring needed to interference fit with shaft and housing. The cylindrical roller bearing can be divided into single-row, double-row and four-row cylindrical roller bearing according to the row of rollers. Besides, there are some other types of bearing such as full complement cylindrical roller bearing. Among them, the most widely used is the single row cylindrical roller bearing. The single-row cylindrical roller bearing could be divided into N, NU, NJ and JF types. Type N has no rib on outer ring and double ribs on inner ring. Type NU has double ribs on outer ring and no ribs on inner ring. Type N and NU bearing allow shaft to double-directional axial shifting within certain scope relative to housing. They are sued as non-locating bearing. Type NJ and NF could carry certain single-directional axial load and allow axial shifting towards one direction. Type NUP is used as bilateral bearing. Type NU and NJ could also matched with HJ separate thrust collar according to different circumstance. The double row cylindrical roller bearing has two structures with cylindrical bore and taper bore. This bearing has such characters as compact structure, higher stiffness and load carrying capacity and smaller deformation. It especially applies to main shaft of machine tool. The double-row cylindrical roller bearing can be divided into NN and NNU two structures. Type NN bearing has double ribs on inner ring and no rib on outer ring. Type NNU bearing has double ribs on outer ring and no rib on inner ring. Above two types of bearings are not capable of limiting axial displacement between shafts and housings, so they are used as non-locating bearing.
