CopRice NutriRice extruded and CopRice steam pelleted horse feeds have all been formulated with very significant percentages of rice bran and rice. This is because rice and rice bran are very beneficial forms of nutrition for horses. CopRice horse feeds contain up to 9% naturally occurring Rice Bran Oil as a result of the high percentage of rice used in their formulation.Feeding trials conducted at the University of Queensland have demonstrated that rice is **0% digested in the small intestine. This is extremely important for horses. Feeding other grains such as corn, barley and oats can result in undigested starch flowing from the small intestine into the large intestine. This undigested starch can then ferment resulting in excitability and digestive upsets.
