A Cooling Tower is a structure through which water is gravitated through passing air (forced or natural draught) and then cooled down. The water can either come into contact with the passing air (open system) or it can be encapsulated in tubing (closed system)
The most popular system is the open system or Evaporative Heat Transfer System (EHTS) This means that water is evaporated in order to cool down.
