Care and Maintenance

•Try not to kick off one boot with the other. It may damage the heel     

  counter and shorten service life.
•There’s a trick for removing the boots. Pull the top corners of the       

 lacing apart. Then reach down to the laces crossing over the instep    

 and hook these with your finger. Suddenly the tongue opens up to     

 release the foot.

•Between missions, remove the foam footbed and allow the boot        

  interior to breathe.

•Wash off heavy mud or clay before drying.

•Restore softness to upper with silicone treatment.

•No Dubbin.

•Sweat salts build up in the lining. Twice a year wash out the inner with  

  fresh water.

•Dry boots overnight by removing the innersole and stuffing with       

 crumpled newspaper.

•Don’t dry boots near fire.
