COCONUT MILK
POWDER
There are many great things about this coconut milk powder but
perhaps the best is the aroma when you open the sachet. There is a
fresh, vibrant coconut smell that hints at the freshness and purity
of this product.
This coconut milk powder is pearly white and is *3.5% fat. It is
tested and certificated by AsureQuality in Auckland and *8.9% of
the fat content is Lauric Acid. It was produced in a GMP (Good
Manufacturing Practice) certified facility using a production
method designed to leave the nutritional and phytonutrient profile
of the coconut milk powder in tact.
Good quality coconut milk can provide you with all the benefits of
raw virgin coconut oi but it is difficult or almost impossible to
find coconut milk that has not been denatured and the active
ingredients of coconut oil's medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs)
destroyed.
This coconut milk powder is an exception. Apart from the addition
of a small amount of maltodextrose, all the other usual additives
have been removed. The reason for leaving the maltodextrose is
because it is essential in the powdering process.
If you are a user of coconut milk in the can, so why would you
switch to coconut milk powder:
It's far more convenient than a can. It's an easy way to much as
much coconut milk as you want, when you want it.
On top of being convenient it is economical. Open a can of coconut
milk and it has to be used in about 3 days. Because of its high
moisture content and presence of other organic components it spoils
quickly. This coconut milk powder can be kept for months and 1
tablespoon costs you *1 cents
Coconut milk in cans is packed with fillers, stabilisers and
additives. A few that I encounter regularly are (E**6) Carboxy
Methyl Cellulose, (E**5)Polysorbate*0, (E**3) Sodium
Metasulphite
The richness that you generally associate with canned coconut cream
is pretty much the addition of an emulsifier, generally (E**2) Guar
Gum. Coconut milk is not naturally thick like the coconut 'cream'
you find in a lot of cans
All other coconut milk powders marketed in New Zealand (and
probably Australia) contain dairy products, particularly Sodium
Caseinate. Sodium Caseinate is added to give the milk powder a
richer taste and also to make it drier and powder more like milk
powder, and
As a product that has not been denatured it contains the full
minerals, vitamins and monoglycerides that can make the use of
coconut milk a healthy addition to your diet
This is a high-quality natural product with an exceptional coconut
aroma and taste. It is a quality product and we offer a money back
guarantee on this product if you are not completely
