As is well know, buried steel pipes usually adopt multi-layer anti-corrosion polymer materials (3PE or 2PE) to protect pipes. So if we need to repair the pipe or add new branch for some reason, we must clear the anti-corrosion layer completely. The traditional method is to burn off the layer with blowtorch or scrape off it with a blade. However this way can lead to security incidents easily.
