Construction

The CNC plasma cutting machine is constructed of extremely strong aluminum extrusions. The table can easily support a plate weights **5kg. Heavy reinforced extruded aluminum gantry is powered on both sides via a driveshaft.

Drive system

A large rack and pinion drive is used for the X and Y axis providing great repeatability and accuracy. Precision linear guideways are used on all three axis providing incredibly accurate movement. As to eliminate any distortion caused by the hardening process, the rails are grinded after they are hardened.

Electronics system

One x-axis drive and motor, one y-axis drive and motor. Both axis are driven by stepper motors.
