Float glass is a transparent, distortion-free flat glass that has its flat and parallel faces with its bright, fire-polished surfaces. Constant thickness and homogeneous mass presents perfect transparency. It is the only glass that meets the demanding international quality standards in force in the automotive industry.

To reduce the entry of radiant solar heat and reduce discomfort caused by excessive brightness, it is colored in its mass and / or with a reflective coating applied on one of its faces.

When Float is manufactured in color, metal oxides are incorporated into the mixture, which are the ones that stain the mass of the glass. The intensity of the tone increases with the thickness.

Float glass is irreplaceable when you want to obtain a clear view without optical distortion and is the raw material par excellence to be transformed into tempered glass, laminated, manufactured mirror and manufactured double glazed hermetic units. As a design tool, its possibilities are limited only by the creativity of the users and by the safety criteria, which must always be taken into account in all applications of flat glass in architecture, vehicles and equipment components.
