Silicon carbide has four major application areas, namely: functional ceramics, advanced refractories, abrasives and metallurgical materials. Silicon carbide has been able to present a large supply of coarse material, can not be considered high-tech products, and high-tech applications nanoscale silicon carbide powder is impossible to form a short period of economies of scale.
