Carob gum is a natural product, usually used as a substitute for jalagus gum or several similar jalagus pulp. Carob gum is prepared by boiling carob gum powder in water at a ratio of 1.0~1.5%. It is said that the effect of carob gum is five times that of starch Chemicalbook and twice that of jalagus Carob gum is also used as a tablet binder and is licensed in the United States and Europe for oral controlled-release systems. Carob gum is widely used as a binder in the cosmetic and food industries. Adhesives and stabilizers are used in food at concentrations ranging from 0.*5 to 0.*5%
