Nickel plating is used as a base plating for decorative chrome, tin, and alloy plating, and is also used for copper alloy products to prevent corrosion. Nickel is a ferromagnetic metal that shares properties similar to iron, but it is more stable and in contact with air and humidity it is less prone to oxidation. It has great mechanical properties such as hardness and flexibility, has a good color tone and excellent corrosion resistance.
