Breastangel is a new health and wellbeing product for women. It helps women notice any changes in their breasts over time.
With Breastangel you get a view of your breasts. Breastangel shines a powerful light through the breast tissue so that you can see some of the details inside. That way you can get to know what's normal for you, spot any changes and hopefully feel more confident that you're looking after your body the way you'd like to.
Breastangel is a simple and easy to use product. However we do strongly recommend that you take some time to read through these instructions and keep them for future reference.
Important things to remember are:
· Charge your Breastangel before you use it
· Make the room as dark as possible
· Hold Breastangel under one of your breasts and look down
· Keep your Breastangel pressed tightly against your skin
· Use a mirror so you can see more
· Check all areas - including under the arms and high on the chest.
how to use your Breastangel
THE DISPLAY PANEL
There are four symbols on the display
1. The brightness setting indicator shows you the level of brightness that you have selected. There are four settings to choose from.
2. The high temperature symbol will only come on if the product has overheated. In this unlikely event the unit will cut out, the symbol will flash until Breastangel has cooled down sufficiently and is ready to use again.
Before you start You'II need to charge your Breastangel before you use it. Plug the power lead into the socket on the end of the handle.
Find a room in the house where you can turn off the lights and make it as dark as possible. The darker the room, the easier it is to use Breastangel.
Most women find it more comfortable to use a lubricant, which allows the lens to slide across the skin more easily.
Only use water-based lubricants with Breastangel. Oil-based lubricants (such as baby oil or petroleum jelly) may damage your Breastangel.
Turn off the lights and wait for a couple of minutes to allow your eyes to get used to the dark.
Turn on your Breastangel. It will switch on at a low light level so as not to dazzle you. The light will increase to full power only when it is in contact with your skin.
There are four different brightness settings. Use the top on your Breastangel to change the brightness level. Generally larger or firmer breasts will require a higher brightness setting.
Slowly move Breastangel around and you will be able to see other parts of your breast. You should continue to do this until you have seen as much as you can.
The breast tissue goes right around under the arms and high up on the chest toward your shoulder - so be sure to look here as well.
There is no set way to complete the examination. There is quite a variation in breast shapes and sizes and you know yourself best. Just make sure that you have a good look around.
When you have finished looking at one breast you should then look at the other.
Once again you may find it easier to do this if you switch hands and hold your Breastangel with the other hand to continue the examination.
The Light Breastangel uses touch sensor technology to ensure that the light is only at full power when the lens is in contact with your skin. The touch sensor needs time to reset itself when you switch Breastangel on, so wait for a couple of seconds before placing it against your skin.
the science behind Breastangel Breastangel is designed to maximise light transmission through the breast tissue. Even so, only a small fraction of the light will pass through completely - and this is what you will see when you use the product. That's why it's important to use Breastangel in a very dark room.
The red/orange light is designed to give the optimum contrast and enables you to see the maximum detail. All of the light from Breastangel is visible and you can use Breastangel as often as you like with no harmful side effects.
When the light hits a blood vessel in your breast it is absorbed by the haemoglobin in the red blood cells. This makes the veins in your breast appear as dark lines.
cleaning and care Breastangel may be cleaned using a dry tissue or slightly damp cloth. We would recommend that you have the power socket cover in place during cleaning.
· Breastangel is not a waterproof device
· Do not use Breastangel in the shower or in the bath
· Do not immerse it nor rinse under a tap
