Descripción del producto

Baroke Obummer is a *5 page play about a man and his vision.  As President of the Insolvent States, Baroke promotes a view that government should meet the needs of all the people by creating a system of taxation that redistributes wealth to benefit the poor at the expense of the wealthy.  In the play, Baroke spends a day in the Offal Office during which he receives a series of visitors who come to express the interests of whatever groups they represent.  He meets with two social workers, two union leaders, Robert Bisby the businessman, Rham Beau (The White House Chief of Graft), Antsy Paloozer (Speaker of the Madhouse), and two members of the Tea Party.  He listens to their appeals for assistance, their political philosophies, and their views regarding how government should best serve the nation.

The two-act play exposes political forces prominent in modern America, from libertarian to conservative to liberal to socialist.  There are moments of light-heartedness, such as when he receives phone calls from prominent people including George W. Push and Miss Monica Diddledooski.  It’s a play about economic and political ideas.  It’s about social justice and “fairness.”  Some of the action might appear to parallel recent historical events, but the story is so unbelievable it surely must be fictitious.
