The cleaning card is essential to the consistent credit card and debit card reads in your ATM’s that take the credit card into the equipment. A credit card has oils and dirt on its surface. With every transaction these contaminates are transferred into the card reader and onto the magnetic heads. This accumulation of dirt and oils is *0% of the reason why these readers fail. This specialized card is designed to open the sentry gates of the reader so that the card is taken in as if it was a credit card. By doing so it passes over the read heads and effectively cleans them. The use of cleaning cards will prolong the life of the reader.
