Our Anti-Hangover is a fermented product which activates aldehyde dehydrogenase which metabolize acetaldehyde which is one of major cause of hang-over.
 

Our unique research found that it is stronger than the effect of Curcuminn which the active ingredient of turmeric which as know as another effective material for preventing hangover.


Metabolism of alcohol -  Ingested by drinking ethanol, acetaldehyde is converted, and then is metabolized into harmless acetic acid. And the reaction proceeds by two enzymes (alcohol dehydrogenase and acetaldehyde dehydrogenase).


 
Acetaldehyde cause a hangover - 

 
The acetaldehyde that cannot be metabolized by drinking a large amount of alcohol influences the body harmfully, and causes symptoms such as headache and nausea (hangover). Also there is carcinogenic acetaldehyde, which causes cancer. (Ethanol is not carcinogenic). By accelerating the metabolism of acetaldehyde, reduce hangover, you can prevent cancer.

Alcohol Metabolite in vivo -


 Ethanol (Alcohol) : Cause of drunk.

Acetaldehyde : Cause of ”feeling sick by alcohol” and ”hangover”. It is also said that a cause of "esophagus cancer".
 
Acetic acid : No severe toxicity. It is metabolized to Acetyl-CoA.

Acetaldehyde metabolism accelerated test (By Professor Dan School of Medicine, Keio University) =========================================== 
 
<Method> Human liver cells cultured in RPMI ***0, Anti-Hangover (undiluted), medium (before fermentation) (undiluted), control (water), glutathione, curcumin, alanine, ornithine (each *0mg/ml) and glutathione (5mg/ml) was added. And diluted in stages, each of the aldehyde dehydrogenase activity was measured. Stimulation time was fixed to 1 hour.

 

<Result> Anti-Hangover had a stronger effect of promoting the activity of acetaldehyde dehydrogenase. Its intensity is increased by fermentation, and it is higher than curcumin's (the active ingredient in turmeric).

Human anti-fatigue effect test (Department of Exercise Physiology, School of Health and Sports Science, Juntendo University) ==================================================== 
<Method> One hour before begin exercise, *0g of Anti-Hangover and soft drink are mixed and consumed by *0 healthy adult males. Subsequently, those examinees pedaled a bicycle ergometer for *0 seconds at best, with *0 seconds rest (with exercise load 7.5% against body weight). This cycle was repeated *0 times.  Few days later, same examinees(control group) ingested ONLY soft drink and conducted same exercise. The efficacy was assessed by comparison of amount of exercise (power) in *0 seconds and the lactic acid concentration in blood collected from the fingertip before and after exercise between with Anti-Hangover group and control group(without Anti-Hangover).
 

 
<Result> Power reduction in Anti-Hangover group was suppressed after *0 minutes exercise and improved exercise performance compare to control group. In addition, Anti-Hangover group was observed that tend to reduce the concentration of lactic acid in blood after exercise. From the above result, Anti-Hangover is found to be effective for anti-fatigue as prevents the decrease in exercise performance and reduce the lactic acid concentration.
