HM*8 is samll size , HID compatible card reader module. It reads standard HID card . Once card is

detected by module, data will be sent out via RS**2 interface(TTL)+Wiegand

Application:

When power on, GREEN/LED LED will flash 3 times with Buzzer sounds, then RED LED will keep in

high,when card is presented, the LED will flash green 1 time and buzzer sounds 1 time; O/P mode is for

select the output format, it controlled by host, when it is low, the output is Wiegand and will be RS**2 TTL

when is high.



RS**2 interface:

Serial port setting: ***0,n,8,1

Data format is as below: 0x2 L D1 D2 D3 D4 D5 CS 0x3

0x2 is the start flag

L is card number length in HEX, it is 0x1A for *6bit and 0x*2 for *4 bit; 0x*3 for *5 bit, 0x*5 for *7bit

D*-D5 is the card number from card in HEX,

for *6 bit, the data is D1.*-D1.0, D2.*-D2.0,D3.*-D3.0 & D4.7,D4.6; total *6 bits, D4.*-D4.0 & D5.*-D5.0 are zero

for *5 bit, the data is D1.*-D1.1, D2.*-D2.0,D3.*-D3.0 & D4.*-D4.0,D5.7,D5.6,D5.5; total *5 bits; D5.*-D5.0 are zero
