RFQ Details

I am looking for Excavator that can work in swamp/wetland riverbed.
The Mariental Flood Task Force (appointed by Namibian Government to clean the Fish River from sediment and reeds) asked me to gather info for them in order to finalize a budget for the project. I am on a fact-finding mission to explore the international market for an excavator, preferably new or very good used excavator (or two) with (semi-)amphibious ability. The river is only in flood for two months every year. The rest of the year it is swampy due to rain water and run-off water from the agricultural scheme next to the river. There are about 1-2 meter deep sediment/reed-root-system to be removed from approx 25 km stretch of river (river on ave approx 300 meters wide) Some areas have rocky/stony riverbed floor that could damage "softer" track system of some fully-amphibious undercarriages. The need for a longer boom (approx 15 meter reach) was also specified.
