TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION OF SEED CLEANER -CUM-GRADER
WITH VERTICAL BUCKET ELEVATOR

(A) GENERAL REQUIREMENT:
The seed cleaner- cum-grader and ducked elevator shall be of the latest technology, most suitable for cleaning of wheat, paddy, maize, soybean, Vegetable Seeds etc. Fully factory assembled, complete with grader and bucket elevator having capacity of 2.0 to 3.0 tons/ hour based on wheat seeds and 1.0 to 1.5 tons/ hour based on paddy depending on 12% moisture content and 18 to 20% impurities. This machine will be installed in the seed godown having a height of 15- 17ft. and electricity: AC, 3- phase, 380- 440 volt, 50 Hz. available at site. The power point (electric connection) will be available in the machine room and this will be provided by the user.

5. DESCRIPTION OF SEED - CLEANER :
(a) All heavy duty steel construction robust machines with frame of steel channel property welded complete with electric motor, starter switch and with a set of sieve described at art. 7 below.
(b) Incorporation with one sieve boat made of waterproof laminated wood with 3 (three) screen layers (2 overflow screen layers and I sand screen layer) each consisting of 2 screen parts. Sieve boat suspended with fiberglass springs.
(c) The screen size should be of 800 600 mm and a total screen area of 2.9 m2.

(d) Specially designed nylon brushes are to be provided to cheek clogging of the perforations of screens;
(e) Screen perforation cleaning device will be specially designed nylon brushes for continuous cleaning of screens.
(f) All screens layers should be interchangeable
(g) Feed hopper is to be provided with feed control gate to regulate flow rate and continuous feeding; Feeding apparatus ensuring an even spread for product over the full working width of the machine.
9h) Should be provided with vibratory feeder.
(i) Should be provided with electrically variable feed roll with gear variation 0.37 KW, outlet for reversed operation etc.
(j) Should be provided with pre and final aspirating for variable air control arrangement for removal of lighter impurities like dust , chaff, husk, light grains etc.
(k) The machine should be fitted with a stone trap.
(l) The capacity of aspiration fan should be of 3500- 4000 CMH and drive motor not less than 4.0 Kw.
(m) Highly efficient air system ensuring a uniform aspiration and good separation on the prime product.
(n) Spout delivering rejects and final sees, to be located separately at different sides. Spouts to be fitted with bag holding clamp at bagging height (Standard B-T will jute)

(p) Roller chain or V-belts should be provided with tightening devices to prevent slackening;

(t) The complete unit will be painted with high quality paint and well finished.

6. Working capacity:
Based on Wheat : 2.0 - 3.0 tons/hour
Based on Paddy : 1.0 - 1.5 tons / hour
For both at 12% moisture content and 18 - 20% impurities.
7. Each Seed cleaner should be provided with additional screens consisting of
a. 3 Nos. screens with per formations (Slotted holes) in mm: 1.60, 1.75, 1.85.
b. 9 Nos. screens with perforations (Slotted holes) in mm: 2.00, 2.35, 2.50, 4.50, 5.50,
6.50, 7.00, 8.00.
c. 2 Nos. screens with perforation (Round holes) in mm: 4.50, 5.00.

8. Description of indented cylinder seed grader:

(c) The indented cylinder will be new & fully factory assembled. The indented cylinder shall be two parted rotary type having 1 (One) cylinder, which can be easily changed. The indented cylinders will be built in type with the cleaner.
(d) Capacity : 2.0- 3.0 ton/ hour based on Wheat
1.0 - 1.5 ton/ hour based on paddy
(e) Application : Suitable for separating short kernels form long broken or cut kernels from whole kernels and also round seed from oblong one.
(f) Size of Indented cylinder : The dimension of cylinder should be 500 1500 mm.
(g) Construction : All metal duly painted with best quality paint and well finished. All parts should be conversed with safety guard and the indent segment should be interchangeable. The indented cylinder shall consist of a horizontal cylinder made of special steel segments having spouts for rejects and final seeds with bag holding clamps at bagging height of standard B-Twill gunny bag 44" 26.5" . It must be complete with suitable electric motor, starter, switch , grain pipe & supporting structure structure etc.
(h) This Indented cylinder should be match able with the seed cleaner.



















9. Description of Vertical bucket Elevator

(c) The bucket type elevator shall be match able and suitable for continuous feeding the seeds into the seed cleaner. The bucket elevator built into the seed cleaner with inlet hopper for bags and pipe connections to the seed cleaner inlet.
(d) Capacity : 3.0 - 5.0 ton/ hour based on Wheat
1.5 - 2.5 ton/ hour based on paddy
(e) Height : Must not exceed 15 feet above floor
(f) Electric drive : 380 - 440 Volt, 3 phase, 50 cycles, AC
(g) The vertical type bucket elevator shall be fully factory assembled, complete with geared motor, feed hopper with regulated gate, and discharge chutes, supporting structure. the buckets shall be made of standard metallic materials with finish of paint or in hop galvanized execution. The bucket elevator should be supplied with several rows of buckets, air cleaning of foot section, elevator guard and return brake. The foot section should be equipped with cleaning door, and the lower transport pipe should be provided with inspection window and inspection door giving access to both sides of the belt.
The seeds should be carried by bucket elevator and discharged into the seed cleaner hopper through discharge chute.

10. The seed cleaner, indent cylinder grader and bucket elevator should match each other, so that seed bags (B-twill bags) when filled can stay in straight position.
11. Can be operated continuously 8 hours without bread.

12. Dust Collector:
Suitable for use with the above cleaner -cum- grader. Dust collector should of with filtering system or as per manufacturer standard. It should be out door type, to be concocted with cleaner through system, at least 3 meter ducting to be supplied.
13. Special Requirements:
A. Literature in English language: Operator manual, spare parts manual, service & repair manual should be supplied with each unit at the place of destination.
B. Brochure/ catalogue/ leaflet of original Manufacturer/ Principal duly signed & sealed by the manufacturer & tendered and should be submitted with the offer for technical evaluation purpose. Photocopy will not be accepted.
C. The bidder must submit the authorization from the Manufacturer/ Principal with the offer. If desired, the supplier must submit the import document during Inspection.
D. The manufacturer must have to be of ISO certified. No equivalent certification or manufacturer's clarification regarding absence of certificate will be accepted. The copy of the ISO certificate must have to be submitted with the offer. Otherwise the bidder's offer will be rejected.

























14. SPARE PARTS:
The tendered shall furnish a list of one year fast moving spares parts with part number and unit price along with the offer. The price of the spares parts should not be included in the quoted price of the machine. BADC may or may not purchase the spares parts.

15. INSTALLATION AND HANDING OVER:
The tendered shall arrange for installation at the place of destination at their own cost through his qualified Engineer/ Specialist and hand over the machine in satisfactory running condition.

16. TRAINING:
The tendered shall provide training at their own cost two days training at each site (destination) for the personnel using / operating the unit. Training will be imparted by suppliers Engineers/ specialists. Personnel requiring the training will be available at the site (destination).

17. SERVICE FACILITY :
Name of authorized dealer/ representative if any in Bangladesh should be indicated in the offer. The bidder shall submit details of after sale service facilities available including details of technical personnel & equipment's.

18. INSPECTION:
The units on delivery at destination will be inspected by an Inspection team of BADC headed by Asset. Chief Engineer (Inspection) Purchase Division, BADC, Dhaka or by his authorized representative and consisting of a representative of indenting div. The units will be installed at the cost of tendered at each site and operated in presence of inspection team & consignee. the inspection team after inspection will issue clean inspection certificate as to the supply, satisfactory operation & acceptance of the unit & provided copy to the tendered with copy to the consignee at destination. On the basis of the inspection report the unit will be received/ rejected by the concerned consignee.
