Anti-impact type fire hydrant

1.Use:

Outdoor fire hydrant is the main equipment of urban net will supply water to the fire,installed in the outdoor fire 

service pipe net,for fire engines or fire pump getting water to fire fighting and rescue work,such as pipeline of 

high pressure water area can be directly connected to fire hose to fire extinguishing.

Outdoor fire hydrant have two kinds:ground and underground.

Ground type:body and interface above the ground,target significantly,easy to use,suitable for high temperature 

place.

Underground type:install on the underground,do not take a place,not easy to damage,suitable for a cold place.

2.The structure and specifications

Ground and underground fire hydrant’s structure like drawing 1,mainly complete with the feed water pipe,the 

main body,valve stem,disc,valve body,an outlet and a drain valve.

3.Attention during installation

1.According to the state is built appoint atlas of water supply,water drainage standard,S148 design installation.

Actual installation,according to the need to fire hydrant feed water pipe connect underground tube,or tear down

feed water pipe,installed directly on the pipe tee.

2.The installation height should be fire hydrant red paint outcrop the road is advisable.In does not affect the 

traffic situation,shoulde be put in striking place.The major outlet should be in the face of the road.

3.Before the installation must be clear our the sediment in the fire hydrant pipe bending.

4.When using,use the special wrench open the outlet cap,connect hose or suction pipe,reuse special wrench 

open the valve disc.,then supply water.After use,the disc should be closed,closed outlet cap.

4.Maintenance and inspection

1.Must check the fire hydrant every month or before major holiday.

2.Removing clutter around the stem end,will special wrench in rod head,check whether appropriate,turn the 

valve stem,filling lubricating oil.

3.Using oil sands erasing rust stains on outlet thread,check the rubber gasket in cap are in good condition.

4.Open the fire hydrant,check the situation of water supply,put all rusty water and then shut,and observe any 

slack phenomenon.

5.Exterior paint falls off should be timely repair.

6.Check and remove the obstacles near fire hydrant.
